Perched on the lush banks of the magnificent Rio Arajuno, this Eco-friendly jungle lodge offers five star comfort in a paradisiacal rainforest setting. This all inclusive package allows the visitor a unique glimpse into sustainable and community supportive jungle living while experiencing the region's amazing bio-diversity and natural beauty.
Owner, Tom Larson has lived for over 18 years in Ecuador, playing an active part in environmental and community based projects. Using this acquired knowledge, in 2001, he set to work on realizing his dream in creating Arajuno Jungle Lodge. The lodge has been an ongoing project and now boasts two luxurious cabins, a sociable dining lodge and a beautiful two storey house set amid 88 hectares of spectacular primary and secondary rainforest.
Practising organic farming methods, many of the homegrown fruits and vegetables are used in the preparation of the delicious, healthy meals and also in the feeding of the animal residents. There is also a series of ponds where Cachama fish, turtles and caiman can be spotted.
For a chance to experience the beauty of the Ecuadorian rainforest and support responsible tourism, Arajuno Jungle Lodge is a great project and a fantastic destination.
