Chapinorte, Bogota, Colombia

Opened in April 2010 by the enthusiastic Antonio from Granada, Spain, Chapinorte Bogota is a great choice for those looking for something outside of the La Candelaria area.

After living and travelling overseas for many years, Antonio decided to settle in Bogota and open this lovely guest house on the edge of the Zona Rosa.

Chapinorte is in a fantastic location in a safe part of town. Within easy walking distance from all the restaurants, bars and nightclubs as well as many foreign embassies, consulates and shopping malls.

The hostel is also located close to Station Calle 76 of the Transmilenio which makes it easy to get anywhere in Bogota.

Chapinorte Bogota offers 8 private rooms: 2 singles, one with shared bathroom (60.000-70.000Pesos) and one with private bathroom (70.000-80.000Pesos). There are also 2 double/twin rooms, one with shared bathroom (60.000-80.000Pesos) and one with private bathroom (80.000-95.000 Pesos) and two triple rooms, one with shared bathroom (40.000 Pesos per peson) and one with private bathroom (45.000 Pesos per person). Prices reflect midweek/weekend rates and the only rooms which don´t change price for weekends are the triple rooms.

The guesthouse has a kitchen for guests to use and supplies breakfast included. There is free wifi and use of a computer for a small fee. Some rooms are equipped with cable tv so please ask if you´d like one.

There is also free secure parking, hot water 24 hours a day, a laundry service and payment can be made with all major credit cards. Classes can also be arranged for those who want to learn Spanish or Salsa.

The staff at Chapinorte Bogota will happily help guests to arrange bike hire and other tours while Antonio is also happy to drive guests to some of the out of town attractions as well as airport and bus station runs, all for a reasonable fee.
