The owner Emiliano has been in the hospitality business since 1993 after his family opened their first Hostal in Quito, Ecuador. EL Arupo Hostel has a total of 7 immaculately clean rooms with with hot running water throughout the house and free WiFi connections in every room for those who enjoy surfing the internet or working from your room. The price for a single room is 56,000 Pesos, a double 70,000 Pesos, a twin 80,000 Pesos, a triple is 102,000 Pesos and for a quadruple it is 120,000 Pesos. For 5 people it is 150,000 Pesos and for 6 people it is 180,000 Pesos. There are also discounted rates for long term stays. All prices include a delicious continental breakfast and fresh fruit throughout the day.
In the living room you can enjoy cable TV or watching one of DVDs they have to offer. If you need more options on what to do, for the musically inclined there is an electronic keyboard and also a book exchange.
A computer, printer and scanner is available at no cost for its guests. You can make free local calls from their house phone.

From the José María Córdova International Airport you can take a taxi costing about $52,000 Pesos. Another option would be to take a local bus to downtown costing about 5,000 Pesos and then catch a taxi that costs about 4,000 Pesos.
From the local Airport Enrique Olaya Herrera you can take a taxi taking about 5 minutes and costing about 5,000 pesos.
You can also reach El Arupo Hostel from the metro for 1,400 Pesos which is conveniently right outside the Terminal Norte Bus Station. Get off at the El Poblado Metro Station, walking straight up Calle 10 toward the Exito which should be on your right hand side. After about 20 minutes, once you reach Carrera 33, take a right and go one block guiding to the left and it is the yellow house on your right hand side. It is possible to take a cab for about 4,000 Pesos from the metro stop.
