Hosteltrail Guesthouse opened it's doors in July 2007 as a base for the hosteltrail project but also to offer accommodation and advice for travellers visiting Colombia.
We have used our experience in managing hostels to kit out the guesthouse with everything a backpacker could want during their stay in Popayan.
Facilities...
The guesthouse has single, double, twin and dormitory accommodation. Dorm beds cost 15,000 Pesos whilst a double room costs 35,000 Pesos for the room. Single person occupancy is 25,000 Pesos.
A fully equiped self-catering kitchen is also available for guest use along with free colombian coffee all day.
Fast broadband internet (2,000 Pesos per hour) with headset and camera for skype and messenger is also available along with a multiple memory card readers and DVD burning facilities. WIFI is available throughout the building and is charged at 3,000 for a full day.
A comfortable TV area is located on the second floor with a wide range of DVD's.
Hot water showers are available 24 hours a day.
A laundry service is available for 8,000 Pesos per load.

How 2 get there...
The guesthouse is conveniently located 10 minutes walk from the bus terminal and 7 minutes walk from the main square (Parque Caldas)
To reach us by foot from the terminal, turn right out of the station and then left at the roundabout leading onto Carrera 11. Continue along here until you reach Calle 4.
We are located on the corner of Carrera 11 and Calle 4.
