The small hostel Sinduly (which means hummingbird) is an ideal pitstop to refuel and get familiar with the archeological sites and splendour of Villa de Leyva and it's surroundings. This basic hostel has a delightful French countryside atmosphere and is owned by the good-natured Manfred Perkohn. Don´t hesitate to ask him for directions or general advice about your travels, as this former Austrian backpacker has been living in Colombia for over 20 years. Be fast or be lucky though, since it's just a block away from the main square, this budget hostels tends to fill up quickly.
Hostal Sinduly is a small affair with only 4 rooms totalling 10 beds. Rooms are spacious and prices are set at 15,000 Pesos per person. The hostels also boasts the following services:

When you exit the bus terminal take a right up Carrera 9. After 2 blocks make a left up Calle 11. After 2 blocks take another right up Carrera 11. After 50 meters you will find the hostel´s blue door on your left.
