Hostal Salta por Siempre, Salta , Argentina

Hostel Salta por Siempre is a nice, big hostel formerly known simply as Hostel in Salta. The new name comes with some major renovations.
Friendly Argentine couple, Ana Ferretti and Jose Belmonte, have run the hostel with their family since January 2004. The name reflects their personal slogan, “Conoce Salta por siempre” (Know Salta forever).

The current transformation of the place includes revamping the already clean and comfortable rooms with new floors and fixtures and converting the outdoor space into a courtyard and seating area. With the changes will come a variety of new services.

The hostel is located in the city center, but being several blocks removed from the main plaza and shopping zones makes it a quiet, peaceful choice.
The 26-room hostel has two four-bed dorms with private bathrooms that cost 30 ARS per person. There are two doubles with shared bathrooms for the same price. Matrimonials, doubles, triples and singles with private bathrooms cost 50 ARS per person. Due to the ever-shifting Argentine economy, prices are subject to change.

A free light continental breakfast with homemade marmalade, free Internet and WiFi is included in the room price. The breakfast area includes ping-pong and foosball tables. There is also a communal kitchen, hand-washing facilities, common areas and a TV room.

The hostel also offers a book exchange, laundry service, tourist information and help with travel arrangements.
How to get there...
It’s possible to walk to the hostel from the bus station, but the easiest way to get there is by a taxi that should cost around 5 ARS.

To walk, cross Av. Hipolito Yrigoyen in front of the bus station, then walk about eight or nine blocks on Abraham Cornejo. Turn left on Córdoba, and continue for three blocks to Tucuman. Make a right, and the hostel is half-way down the block on your right.
