Rather than be another party hostel, Hosteluego has created a chilled environment that makes a peaceful respite for those seeking a goodnights sleep, or mornings sleep depending on how last night was.

The hostel has recently been refurbished meaning everything is new and in working order. Especially noteworthy are the comfortable mattresses.

There is coffee and pancakes in the morning, included in the price and hammocks hanging in shady hang out areas.

They have a strict no noise after midnight policy and for peace of mind the property is secure on all sides with a locked front gate.

Hosteluego has 5 rooms in total, 2 private rooms (a twin and a double) for $25 each and 3 dorm rooms with 4 to 6 beds, for $12 a bed. All rooms have a fan, a/c and large lockers under the beds.

Communal areas include a notably clean kitchen, bathrooms with reliable hot water, a sitting area out front, an outdoor lounge with plenty of cushions and cable T.V.

Wireless is available throughout the hostel along with 2 laptops for guest use.

How to get there...

You will arrive on Isla Colon via water taxi. To walk to Hosteluego make a right turn when you get of the jetty and walk down the main street till it ends at a T-intersection. Make a left turn, continue walking, there will be a fork in the road, stay left and you will soon see Hosteluego on the right hand side. All in all it is about a 5 minute walk, or a 1 minute taxi ride. A taxi will cost $1
