The Iguana hostel is a sociable meeting point in a residential area not far from the centre of Cali. With great facilities and a friendly, travellers' atmosphere, this is a nice place to base yourself whilst making the most of what this lively city has to offer.

Opened in 1998 by Swiss owner Urs Diethelm, the Iguana has grown in popularity and is now considered one of the best places to stay in town. The Iguana has nine comfortable private rooms and one five-bed dormitory. Some of the rooms have ensuite facilities and sleep between one and three people.

Prices start at 14,000 Pesos for a dormitory bed and range from 14,000 - 16,000 Pesos per person for private rooms. Single occupancy costs from 24,000 Pesos in a private room.

There is a handy self-catering kitchen and beer and soft drinks are on sale.

Internet access is available at 3,000 Pesos per hour.

An americano breakfast sevice is available for 4,000 Pesos.

A social area is situated in a courtyard along with an indoor lounge area with hammocks and cable TV.

There is a laundry service on offer for 12,000 Pesos per load.

The Iguana is fairly central and can be reached by foot easily from anywhere in the centre of town. Situated 3 blocks north of the popular Avenida Sexta on Calle 21, the hostel is in a quiet residential area. Coming from the bus station or airport, it's easiest to catch a taxi for 3 - 4,000 Pesos.
