Fifteen years ago, Christian Dojoseva came to Cali and never really left. Now, with his family, he has opened up their home to provide travellers with a base right in the centre of Colombia's party capital.
The hostel itself is small and basic, but it provides all the main facilities a backpacker expects and due to it's size and informal approach, the experience of staying in Kaffee Erde has been desribed as more like a home-stay than a backpackers hostel.
Facilities...
This place doesn't have a huge capacity, but if you are looking to get away from the partying crowds and experience real life Cali, this could be a more appropriate option. The hostel has 9 dormitory beds selling at 14,000 Pesos each and one single room which costs 20,000 Pesos. Use of the kitchen is permitted and meals can be prepared on demand.
There are also two spacious patios where guests can enjoy a coffee and free salsa lessons are taugh by the family.
How 2 get there...
The hostel is well located by public transport but the easiest way to get there is to take a taxi from the terminal to the hostel which should cost no more than 4000 Pesos.
