This brand new hotel just a couple of minutes walk from La Virgin hot springs is a comfortable and modern complex offering all the facilities you could ask for as well as friendly, helpful service.
Opened in February 2006, work is still ongoing in parts of the hotel. A swimming pool and steam baths are being installed and more rooms added, increasing the overall capacity. At the moment however, the hotel has everything you could need and is in a handy location not far from the centre of town.
Facilities...
Currently, the hotel has 22 rooms sleeping up to six people. All rooms have ensuite bathrooms and balconies with excellent views of the surroundings.Prices start at $6.50 per person and rise to $8.50 for single occupancy or at peak periods. The price includes WiFi access and all taxes.
La Chimenea has a lovely roof terrace with a comfortable cafe offering breakfasts, drinks and snacks. The terrace offers views over the waterfall and onto the plaza and cathedral.
Laundry service is available to guests and there is free use of the internet in the reception area.
Steam baths are available for an additional $3.50 and in the coming months, the swimming pool will be completed and available for guest use.

How 2 get there...
Coming from the bus station, continue 4 blocks along Calle Maldonado and turn left onto Calle Martinez. From there, you'll find La Chimenea around six blocks along and on your right.
