LandVenture Travel is a Colombian owned company specializing in tours around the Antioquia region. In May 2010, the owner Andrés set anchor after traveling around the world...a couple of times. Working on cruise ships, Andrés visited many countries and now wants to put his travel experience to good use showing visitors around Antioquia.

Taking some of the best places outside Medellin, Andrés put together some amazing day trips to help you not just get out of your hostel, but out of Medellin for the day, taking you to the countryside in a convenient and stressfree way. Just sit back, relax and enjoy.

Jardin Tour (the southwest)...

The Jardin day trip takes you over 134 kms away from Medellin to reach this friendly town of about 14,000 people in the coffee region of Antioquia. Starting at 7:00am you are whisked away from your hostel for about a 2.5 hour ride to the countryside. During this drive you have the opportunity to stop for breakfast and at an indifgenous reserve´s souvenir shop as well as numerous photo stops. Throughout this entire trip Andrés gives you the opportunity to learn all about this area as he has a wealth of knowledge about this area.

Once in Jardin you will get a tour of the town by a local guide. This includes a visit to the towns traditional sweet factory which sells some delicious sweets. Next you partake in a 2+ hour horseback ride (no experience necessary) though this beautiful scenic region. At the midpoint of the horseback ride you stop for a traditional lunch and do a hike down into Spender Cave to see the unique waterfall. Once back from the horseback ride you have the option to see a sugar cane mill before the drive back to the door of your hostel in Medellin.

The Jardin trip is a full day trip costing 140,000 Pesos per person with a minimum group of 3 people and a maximum of 4.
