Jungle tours can be arranged to fit with your time limit and preferences. Day trips are available into the surrounding jungle area - visiting lagoons, waterfalls and having the chance to sample the area's natural beauty. Longer tours (up to 5 days) can be tailor-made including visits to indigenous communities, visiting waterfalls and natural beauty spots and experiencing in greater depth the attractions of the Parce Llanganate and Upper Rio Napo area. Accommodation is in Limoncocha Cabanas in the community of Serena, moments from primary rainforest.

Motor-canoe excursions
$40 per day
This trip is an excellent way to explore the top sites of the area. From the comfort of a motorised canoe, travellers have the chance to see some of Ecuador's jungle wildlife and appreciate the spectacular surroundings. Your knowledgeable local guide will be able to identify native plant, animal and insect species and give you and insight into life in the Oriente. This trip is also available on a three day option.

Option 1 for white-water rafting is a popular day trip on the Jondachi and Holin rivers, taking in some beautiful jungle scenery while riding these grade four rapids! It is a full day trip with lunch, transport, experienced guide and equipment included. Availability of this tour is dependent of the water level and time of year.

This is an exciting yet affordable day trip on the rapids of the Misahualli river. This grade four river makes for a challenging but fun ride through the mountainous jungle area. Lunch, transport, guide and equipment is all included and again the availability depends on the water level.

Kayaking

Adjusted to cater for complete beginners as well as more experienced kayakers, this is a good way to sample the sport on a one day tour or take a progressive course over three days. Teaching as they go, your experienced guides will take you through the safety aspects and techniques of river kayaking while allowing you to experience for yourself the thrill of riding the rapids!

How 2 get there...
Arriving at the Tena bus terminal, Hostal Limoncocha and their tour agency is very easy to find. Well sign posted from the main road 15 de Noviembre, the hostal is about four blocks along Avenida del Chofer and then two blocks to the right along Sangay. You'll see the hostel on your left. Limoncocha Tours also offer accommodation at their Hostal Limoncocha in Tena.
