Right in the heart of the peaceful country village Rio Verde, Miramelindo is a lovely hotel/restaurant with lots of character and friendly service. With immaculate facilities and situated in the lush Rio Verde valley, this is a very comfortable hotel to come back to after a day exploring the nearby sights. A short walk from the famous Pailon del Diablo waterfall and near the entrance to the Llaganates National Park, the hotel is ideally located and a place where you will feel at home for a few days.

The hotel and restaurant is less than a year complete and has been designed with owners Patricia and Manuel's artistic flare, taking inspiration from Ecuadorian painter Gonzalo Endara Crow. All the rooms are tastefully decorated with Patricia's own paintings and surround the beautiful orchid garden and pool area.

The restaurant serves up unforgettably delicious Ecuadorian dishes as well as a selection of vegetarian meals and desserts famous country-wide! Miramelindo Hotel has seven beautifully decorated spacious and comfortable ensuite rooms all with cable TV, two suites and one cabin.

Guests pay a set price of $15 per person which includes breakfast in the restaurant, use of the pool, jacuzzi and steam bath.

Other facilities are available at extra charge such as hydrotherapy, clay body masks, massage, colonic cleansing and use of the gymnasium.

The restaurant is open throughout the day and serves delicious home-made meals and snacks. Manuel Alejandro Chauvin, Patricia and Manuel's son is head chef in the restaurant.

Laundry service is available for guests as is a handy bicycle return service where the hotel will transport bikes rented from Banos back to town.

The hotel is set around a beautiful orchid garden where guests can feel free to relax in a hammock and enjoy the surroundings.

Arriving in Rio Verde, accessible by regular buses from Banos or Puyo, Miramelindo is easily seen from the main road which passes through town. The colourful building is well signposted and is only 100 metres or so from where the bus stops.
