Patanuk is arguably one of the best located hostels in Bariloche. Boasting absolute waterfront position, the only thing in between the hostel and the lake is a great bar and deck, providing the perfect spot for you to sit back and enjoy the spectacular views.
After much searching, Spanish owners Silvia and Iñaki stumbled upon Bariloche and have made it their home. The hostel followed after massive renovations and extensions to make what is now a modern hostel with a nice and friendly feel.
Silvia and Iñaki are really into mountain activities and can arrange climbing, trekking, skiiing and back country trips for you.
Choose between dorms with/without private bathroom for AR$35 or AR$50 in the high season*. One nice thing about the dorms in Patanuk is that you get amazing views straight onto the lake.
Private rooms for 2 people are AR$140 per night or AR$210 in the high season. Triple rooms are priced at AR$170 or AR$250 in high season.
All private rooms have private bathrooms and plenty of space.
There's also an apartment with kitchen, living area and room for 3 persons. Enquire directly with Silvia or Iñaki for prices and availability.
All prices include breakfast (bread cooked fresh daily in the hostel), internet and WIFI and towels. In the high season, there's a full breakfast and a free welcome drink for all guests.
Patanuk has a great common/lounge area looking out onto the lake, a large/fully equipped kitchen, heating, security (weekends) and extensive tourist information.
