Platypus has 23 rooms from private singles through to dormitories all housed in three neighbouring buildings. These are clean, comfortable and simple rooms priced 18,000 Pesos for a dorm bed, 33,000 Pesos for a single room and 44,000 Pesos for a double with shared bathroom and 50,000 Pesos for a double ensuite.
There are fully equipped self-catering kitchens in each building with free coffee on tap all day and a sociable dining/lounge areas with plenty of reading material on local and national must sees.
There is handy internet connection in the hostel and even handier free wi-fi for those travelling with laptops.
The fridge is stocked with chilled beer and soft drinks available for sale.
Platypus also offers a 'poste restante' service for guests wishing to receive mail in Colombia.

The trans-milenio stops not far from Platypus at station Museo de Oro. From there follow Avenida Jimenez along past Parque de las Periodistas and turn right onto Calle 16. You'll see the hostel on the right about a block up - there's a platypus painted on the wall.
