- Backpacking Hostels in Brazil, South America

Boquete Outdoor Adventures (BOA) is a great option for anything adventurous in the Chiriqui provence of Panama. Based in Boquete and run by James Daniel Omer, the outfit is truly professional with safety and comfort of their customers being the number one priority for all guides and all trips.

The company also has an impressive social conscience with regards to payment and social support of it's staff as well as showing support for the local community. They are currently leading the Soloy Flood Relief Program developed to assist the people living in the Soloy region of the Ngobe Bugle Comarca who have been displaced after the catastrophic flooding of the Rio Fonseca.
Be sure to drop in and see the team at BOA as they are more than willing to share their wealth of information regarding the surrounding areas.
Whitewater Rafting...
The tour picks you up at your hostel early morning and visits Rio Chiriqui Vejo, one of the 35 runs the Chiriqui provence has to offer. Depending on the water level and season, BOA may select a different river for the tour. The tour takes you down a variety of rapids ranging from Class I to IV, with Class IV being the highest. Prior to entering the water you'll be fitted out with all the necessary safety gear and given a rundown on skills and instruction, you also get a chance to practice these in the water before you´re on your way. There is always a safety boat on the tour to assure the safe passage of everyone participating. Once your done, a tasty lunch is served riverside before heading back to your hostel. All up, this full day trip costs $90 per person with a minimum of 3 people and maximum of 12 (BOA like to focus on small groups). The tour also includes a walk up to the hot springs before lunch which splits up your time on the water.
Other Tours......
BOA offer a wide selection of outdoor activities. They have a number of day trips for whitewater rafting, kayaking, island exploring, and hiking, all at budget prices. The outfit particularly specialises in customised multi-sport trips and wilderness adventures for groups and families.
