Moggely's Mountain Tours
Cotopaxi Trekking (prices vary depending on length of tour and don't include $10 park entry)
These tours are arranged to fit with the needs and preferences of the group. Programs are available from one to five days and with a selection of different treks and activities. The aim is to experience the natural beauty and variety of the Cotopaxi National Park. All transport from Quito, meals and accommodation is provided and groups will stay in the comfortable yet basic base camp within the park. There are various options to choose from including the visits to Inca ruins within the park, wildlife observation, trekking on the Rumiñahui volcano, glacier trekking or simply taking in the majestic views over the Paramo to the 16 visible peaks.
Cotopaxi Climbing $198.00 plus $10 park entry
This two day excursion to the peak of Cotopaxi allows you to not only attempt the summit but also experience the beauty of the National Park while acclimatizing to the altitude. Transport from Quito is provided as are all meals, equipment and accommodation. Tours spend one night in the José Ribas refuge at 4800 metres and the following night at midnight begin the ascent of 5-8 hours via Yanasacha to arrive at the peak around dawn. The descent is followed by a visit to the park museum and some easy hiking if desired. Groups return to Quito around 3pm.
Chimborazo Climbing $235.00 plus $10 park entry
This is a more technical and demanding climb than Cotopaxi and as such, climbers should have previous experience plus sufficient acclimatization prior to ascent. The ascent is made from the second refuge in the early morning and takes 7-9 hours depending on weather conditions. Climbers arrive at the 6310 metre Whymper peak in the morning and should expect to descend by lunchtime and return to Quito in the evening. Transport from Quito and back is provided as is accommodation at the refuge and all meals and equipment. This trip requires two days one night.
Quilotoa Trekking - per day
This a popular 3 day trip which allows groups to see the Quilotoa area complete with it's magnificent scenery, indigenous communities and unique crater lake. Transportation from Quito is provided as is accommodation in the Black Sheep Inn and all meals. The trip involves treks to appreciate the picturesque landscape, visit local communities and businesses, as well as observe the native flora and fauna found in the area.

Jungle Tours $180 - 4 Days, $220 - 5 Days. plus $20 park entry
These jungle tours begin in Lago Agrio in the eastern part of Ecuador. Groups will be transferred to the comfortable jungle lodge from where they will make excursions to experience the Ecuadorian Amazon Basin. The tours are all made within the Cuyabeno National Park and are available for four or five days. Meals, accommodation, transport from Lago Agrio, equipment and guiding is all included. Visits to local communities, wildlife observation and education, treks and river tours, piranha fishing and many outdoor activities are all part of the Cuyabeno experience!
Papallacta - per day
One to four day trips are available to Papallacta and the surrounding area with accommodation, meals, equipment and of course entry to the thermal baths included. Groups build their own itineraries choosing from a variety of treks and activities which make the most of the lush cloud forest scenery and spectacular natural features. This area is considered one of the most beautiful in Ecuador and trekking combined with relaxing in the thermal springs is an attractive option! Trout fishing and visits to caves or nearby mountain peaks can also be arranged.
